The perfect balance and the extremely sought after sound of the orchestra has been perfected for centuries. For United Strings of Europe, the second violins are especially important, because - in accordance with the way the Unified State Examination plays (and similarly to how many scores are written) - the second violins are actually located to the right of the conductor, and the first Violin is opposite to the left. Usually, many parts are recorded this way, and they have an advantage when the bass is in the middle in the back (you want the bass on your track in the middle!)
